What Causes A White Vaginal Discharge After Intercourse?

II have only 1 partner. We haven t had intercourse in over 3weeks. I had no problem before this. We had intercourse last night and I had a white cotton, tissue like substance come from my vagina or did he discharge it in me? What could it be and where did it come from. In 54 years old....I don t have periods anymore.
