What Causes A White Vaginal Discharge With Odor?

hello i have been having a white discharge for a month now that smells like to me trash thats been sitting out! no itching no burning just an embarrassing odor. i tried monistat and it didnt work i tried probiotic and maybe for a day or so it went away! could this be BV?
