What Causes Abdominal Bloating After A Colonoscopy?

I recently had a colonoscopy....everything was normal yet i continue to have lower stomach pressure and feeling bloated....have been to my doctor on numerous occasions and have yet to find the answer....i have tried stool softeners, metamucil, and nexium all to no avail...i am 65 years old and this has become chronic

Hi,

Abdominal bloating is a common symptom after a colonoscopy. I suggest you to use Simethicone medication for the bloating. The symptoms will go away on its own in a few days.
