Hello,
Acid reflux make your belly feels uncomfortably bloated, especially after eating, or you feel overly full or nauseated after a normal meal, acid reflux could be the cause. Burping excessively soon after eating is another sign of this type of
indigestion. Acid reflux might be particularly bad after you eat a large, raw salad on an empty stomach, because of all roughage and
Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, is a possible cause of acid reflux.
Symptom mild to intermittent : life style and dietary modification such as if you obesity
weight loss and elevation of the head end of the bed improved esophageal pH-metry and /or GERD symptoms. Dietary modification is not routinely recommended in all patients with GERD. However, we suggest selective elimination of dietary triggers(fatty foods, caffeine, chocolate, spicy foods, food with high fat content, carbonated beverages, and peppermint) in patients who note correlation with GERD symptoms and improvement in symptoms with elimination. Other measures that have a physiologic basis but have not consistently been demonstrated to improve reflux symptoms include: Avoid of tight fitting garments to prevent increasing intragastric pressure, avoid tobacco and alcohol, abdominal breathing exercises to stregnthen the antireflux barrier. Antacid can help to relieve of mild GERD symptoms that occur less than once a week. Sacralfate (aluminum sucrose sulfate), a surface agent, adheres to the mucosal surface, promotes healing, and protects from paptic injury, and
ranitidine... For severe or frequent symptoms of GERD (two or more episodes per week) we begin with standard-dose PPI (omeprazol..) once daily for eight weeks in addition to lifestyle and dietary modification.
If bloating and related digestive problems persist, your doctor may suggest certain tests to rule out medical conditions. Routine labs including testing for H.Pylori infection or
celiac disease should be considered. Your doctor may recommend an abdominal
ultrasound or endoscopy to have a look at what's happening inside your belly.
