What Causes Abdominal Bloating And A Lump Behind The Neck?

I am 51 and have been experiencing changes in bowels along with bloating. I have also noticed light blonde facial hair that I ve never had before. I have a lump (swelling) on the back of my neck where the neck connects to my back that causes pain and discomfort. Is this just normal things for a person my age?

As per your complainabdominal bloating and a lump behind the neck is a indication of SIALOLITHIASIS that is formation of crystalline stones in the duct of the submandibular salivary gland which is located under the jaw line. In your case the symptoms can also occur due to acid reflux. You should consult an oral physician and get evaluated. Such stones has to be located by endoscopic technique known as SIALOSCOPY and surgically removed. Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for tonsillitis or gastroenterologist for acid reflux. For now do warm saline rinses and avoid eating spicy food.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
