Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past three to four weeks I have been having bloating, belching, gas under my left rib and through my back, nearly every evening. Sometimes it starts earlier in the day. A small glass of soda usually takes care of it, but it has gotten worse over the last week. I have taken three gas-x tablets today, and the pain is not subsiding. YYYY@YYYY
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per your complain you have problem of abdominal bloating and pain that may be because of infection of digestion tract or any food intolerance or other condition. More fatty food consumption and fast eating may cause more bloating problem. Intestinal inflammatory disease may ruled out.
Consult a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis. Barium abdominal x ray helpful in diagnosis. Detail history and investigation give exact idea. Avoid gaseous foods like cabbage, cauliflower, tunip and carbonated drinks etc. Avoid more fatty food and alcohol drinking. Start a treatment according to cause.
I hope my guidance helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rachana Goswami
