What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Breathing Difficulty?

I have bloating at night, sometimes enough to make it hard to breathe. No pain, just discomfort. Tonight I haven t had anything but about 8oz. of water for over 7 hours. I have also been fighting Bronchitis for the last 2 months. I can t get to sleep until I am exhausted, and then I toss and turn all night. I went to the hospital and they took chest xrays... looks great . Checked my heart..no problems. The gave me an inhaler and sent me home. I followed up with my Dr. and she gave me PrednIzone and a z-pak. for a possible infection. I took the meds and started feeling better after the second day. That lasted about a week and I m back where I was. I didn t realise how bad I felt until I was back to myself for 4-5 days. I have never smoked in my life. I have to take Bronkaid every day to help with the shortness of breath and the cough. The types of food I eat doesn t seem to matter.
