What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Difficulty In Passing Stool?

I have been having this problem where it mostly happens when I sit down. I have the tendency to pass gas and after it leads to a bowel movement. Even though I go to the bathroom after it occurs, I start to come back. Sometimes it can be hard to pass the bowel movement. Because of this, I have been having anxiety.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

By your history and description, possibility of acute gastritis is more likely. Gastritis can cause hyperacidity and bloating. This can lead to abdominal fullness, constipation, burning epigastric pain etc. And anxiety can even worse this is thing. So in my opinion, you should follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.

1. Take Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride combination on empty stomach twice daily.
2. Avoid junk food. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Go for walking after meals.
4. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.

Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
