What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Gas When Diagnosed With Thickened Gallbladder?

I have been experienceing major bloating&gas. I have had 2 ultrasounds, the 2nd one the surgeon said my galblater was slightly thickened... I ve been getting attacks just under my breast threw to my back that are very painful. When that happens my stomach gets hard& bulges out. In the past year I ve gained 20pds. I clean 6-8 houses per week. I move all day long, have changed my diet but I m still bloated most of the time. Should I get a second opinion? A second altasound?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to bloating. I suggest to get a second opinion by a gastrologist. Meanwhile, I suggest using Simethicone medications. I also suggest to use a fiber rich diet and drink a lot of liquids. I don't think that is needed a second ultrasound.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
