What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

I have been experiencing bloating feeling in my upper stomach and bleeding heavily outside my normal period. I have had a ct test as well as a pelvic ultra sound. The first month bleeding lasted about 5 days and was not too heavy. This is the second month it has happened and the bleeding is much heavier and darker. The doctor said the tests came back fairly normal showing some non benign turmors on my uterus. what else could possibly cause this?
