Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I’m trying to figure out if I just have a touch of stomach flu. I am bloated and feel sick to my stomach but not actually throwing up just a bit nauseous. Saturday I was feeling so bad I slept most of the day, yesterday much better and again today felt like I couldn’t eat without being sick
You might be having gastritis or acid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips 1. Do not eat spicy food. 2. Take medications for gastritis- Pantop or Omez or Rantac. 3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8 am, a small snack at 11 am, lunch at 1 pm, a small snack at 4 pm and dinner at 8 pm. 4. Drink plenty of water. 5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea. 6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis. 7. Do regular exercise. At least half an hour per day. 8. Learn meditation techniques. 9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
