What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Pain In The Shoulder?

Within the past year occasionally when I am about a fourth of the way through my meal my abdomen will feel really full and very uncomfortable to the point that I can t continue my meal or even drink anything..recently I noticed that it was when I was eating something extra salty. The pain the last few times radiated up to my left shoulder. I have taken Pepcid but it doesn t seem to help.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pepcid would not normally work immediately because it is suppose to help reduce acid production in the stomach but it would not do anything for the acid that is already there.

For this reason, it can sometimes take a while to kick in, in some cases, a few days of persistent use would prevent the problem from recurring.

You can consider using medications like tums or dica along with the pepcid to see if this relieves your discomfort.

I hope this helps
