What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Pain Under The Rib Cage?

I m having a bad bloated discomfort and at sometimes painful under my right rib cage. This is also accompanied by severe pain in right arm as though lightning is running down my arm.....very painful and is constant. I had my heart checked by cardiologist but says my EKG is fine. I m also feeling very tired and weak mostly all the time now. Also all my glands on my right side of body are swollen. My doctor said if it persisted we could run blood tests to see why they have been swollen now for 3 months. I m in the middle of changing insurance plans and haven t been back to her. The pain has gotten really bad in the arm and under ribs. I get new insurance of Medicare April 1st and have been trying to wait but now sure if I can.

Hello,

As the EKG is fine, it could be simple pain associated with gastritis and acid reflux.

As a first line management you can take antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
