Hello. I am taking 800 mg ibuprofen 3x/day for tendinitis in my foot. Prescribed by the doctor. I have been taking it fairly regularly for two months. I would like to stop and wean myself off, but I still have foot pain. However, I get concerned in taking this med too long. Is there a risk to my GI tract or kidneys in taking this long-term? I do not have any bleeding, but sometimes feel a bit gassy. I usually take the med with food, but once in a while I forget and take it without food and on an empty stomach. Thank you.
