What Causes Abdominal Bruising With Rashes?

I have bruising on my right side that started out more rash like and was itchy. it is no longer itchy since I quit using drugs/alcohol a couple weeks ago but the bruising is still like it was when I first noticed it about 5 months ago. does this sound like a liver disease?
