Hi,

Abdominal cramping, vomiting, and a bad taste in the mouth could be symptoms of various conditions in children. It's important to take your daughter to her pediatrician for an evaluation to determine the underlying cause.

Gallbladder issues are relatively rare in children, but they can occur. The gallbladder is a small organ that stores bile, a substance that helps digest fats. Gallbladder issues can cause pain in the upper right abdomen, nausea, vomiting, and a bad taste in the mouth. However, other conditions such as gastroenteritis, food poisoning, acid reflux, and even stress or anxiety can cause similar symptoms.

During your daughter's evaluation, her pediatrician will likely ask about her symptoms, and medical history, and perform a physical examination. Depending on the findings, they may recommend further tests such as blood work, stool sample analysis, or imaging studies like an ultrasound to evaluate her gallbladder.

It's important to note that if your daughter is experiencing severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or other concerning symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
