What Causes Abdominal Cramps After Taking Misoprostol?

I took 2 misoprostol 200mcg tablets for a biopsy today. Took the first pill last night around 7pm and the second pill around 6am this morning. Just wondering how long the medicine stays in your systems as I have had off and on abdominal cramping all day.

I understand your concern
Misoprostol cause uterine contraction and cause cramping.
Half life of the misoprostol is 40-50 minutes so It will clear from the circulation in 2-3 hours.
But effect may remain up to 1-2 days.
Take proper rest, tablet meftal spas for cramp
Drink plenty of water and take healthy diet.
