Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Bowel Incontinence?
I am not sure how to start this. For the last three weeks, I have been having problems with cramping and bowel movements. They are so severe that sometimes I cannot control them and end up making messes in my underware. I cannot eat or drink without having to run to the restroom every 45 minutes to an hour. I thought it was because I had a glass of wine with dinner, but it has now been 5 days since I had that glass of wine and I am still having problems. When I go to the bathroom, on a very little comes out and it is light brown and runny. This is hard to talk about, and I do not have medical insurance or a doctor, but I am at the point that I can t take the cramping and when I get home I am so exhausted that I just go straight to bed and hope tomorrow is better.
For bowel cramps, I advise you to take tablet dicyclomine twice a day. For bowel incontinent, you should take tablet ornidazole plus Ofloxacin. And you can take loperamide for instant relief.
I would like to advise that have a checkup by a near physician also. Don't drink wine or alcohol but have plenty of water and juice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
