Does this consider as excessive blood flow? Do I need to return to my doctors immediately?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptom of heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB) is defined as blood loss larger than 80 mL per cycle.

However, blood loss can be very hard to measure, unless you use a menstrual cup. And even if you lose less than 80 mL, it can still affect your quality of life, particularly if the timing of your periods is irregular and, therefore, difficult to anticipate.

Many causes like polyps or endometriosis or infection or fibroid etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
