What Causes Abdominal Cramps In An Elderly Woman Post Intercourse?
Hello hello, I am 67 after my husband and I separated for five years and I have been celibate, my husband and I got back together, after being sexually active one time, four days later I started getting Cramps in my abdominal. It feels like menstruated cramps. Last year I had the cells down there froze so that I would stop getting a positive Pap smear. Could it be that or something else
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Some people might experience such abdominal cramps when they have sexual intercourse after a gap of certain number of years. You may take antispasmodic-analgesic medication like Mefinemic acid with Dicyclomine for its relief. In case it happens again or is associated with other symptoms, you need to undergo per speculum examination and ultrasound scan of abdomen to know what could be the cause for it, so that it can be treated accordingly. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
