History of small ovarian cyst, last ultrasound it was gone, today sudden pain , burgundy coloured clotty bleeding, moderate amount, have not had period for eight months, I am healthy 52 year old. I now have lower back pain, period like cramping , belching, nausea , no vomiting, no fever

ovarian cyst should not golikethat. it has no link with period. nin any case you should have pregmancy test torule out pregnancygeneraly they give nosymptoms. it grows insize and subsiquently surgicaly removed. small cyst canbe removed without removing overy, itis cystectomy.hormonal essay may be done to see oestrogen progestron level. it does not have alink with carcinoma.
