What Causes Abdominal Discomfort And Back Pain While Suffering From Hiatal Hernia?

? my husband is 71 yrs old and has a hietal hernia for 40+ years and has been able to control w/proper elevation not laying down and foods. But the last two months he has had bouts of the stomach pushing thru the diaphram and hurting alot this i believe is causing his back to hurt as well. he is overweight has rheumatoid arthritis and can not take any inflammatory drug due to his kidneys, only prednisone. what do you believe he can do to help this not keep getting so inflammed and swelling out of the diaphram? thankyou

consult gastroenterologist and get endoscopy done by him. take bland diet and antacid like tab omiprazol. refrain from alcohol and avoid hot tea and coffee. don't take deep fried things and avoid fast food.take advise of gastroenterologist for management.
