What Causes Abdominal Discomfort And Diarrhea While Suffering From Diverticulosis?

My husband is 46 years old with a short history of Diverticulosis and is having lower left abdominal discomfort with some reduced bowels movement ability and a couple of smalls bouts of diarrhea for about 30 hours. It is not unbearable and we have a doctor appointment of Thursday. Is there any sense of urgency to seek help sooner?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

All the symptoms are due to diverticulosis attack. If your husband will develop fever, and markeble changes in stool habits, should send to the ER before the Thursday appointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
