What Causes Abdominal Discomfort On The Left Side?

i have had a funny feeling on my left side for six months, i had a CT abdomen and Pelvis with contrast, findings were normal. I did talk with a GI dr and the NP said to try some over the counter drug like Prevacid if it helped i needed to have an EGD. Does this sound like the stomach on the far left side under ribs. It just feels funny and sometimes a little pain. I also have IBS and have had a little Crhons but the report stated no inflammation and no crhons. what should i do next, perhaps have another radiologist re-read my CT A-P?

I have read and understood your concern
Prevacid is a proton pump inhibitor that may help if your problem is caused by GERD/gatritis.However, from your description of symptoms, it is less likely.You may still take EGD for reassurance.Abdominal discomfort to the left may as well be of urinary origin like UTI.Your symptoms have persisted for long and this is possible with recurrent UTI or other kidney infections.I will advise you see the Doctor for a urinalysis.
