What Causes Abdominal Distension And Uterine Fibroids On USG?

Hello Doctor, I am experiencing period pains after my period, it comes and goes througouth the month until my next perdiod. My abdominal area swollens up and down, I recently had an ultrasound and they found a 2 cm fibroid in my uterous but I was told that it's common in women to have this type of things, however, they didn't explain to me what is the problem. Could you help me please? Thank you.
