What Causes Abdominal Gas And Diarrhea?

Hi, I just had a CT scan on Monday, because I have had chronic diarrhea for 2 years. I only have loose stools after eating foods that aren t bland. After drinking the prep drink before the scan, I had lot of gas and diarrhea twice. The rest of the day, I had to keep going to the bathroom. Yesterday I had to go to work and still had diarrhea again that morning, I took 2 immodium pills and just had gas the rest of the day. Today had some gas and then saw blood when I wiped. Why do I feel worse after the scan and prep drink?

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection.
I suggest you:
-take simethicone medication to relief the bloaing
-take Imodium for the diarrhea
-take probiotics daily
-drink liquids
-eat plain food and avoid food that triggers the situation.
