What Causes Abdominal Pain After Insertion Of A Monarc Bladder Sling?
I had a monarch bladder sling inserted years ago and for the last 10 years I am suffering with lower abdominal pain sometime when I start to stand up from a sitting position. It is so severe it takes my breath away and doubles me over. I have asked 3 different doctors about it and even had xrays done. They tell me nothing is wrong. I just had another round of this this evening and need to get some answers. They pain is coming more frequently now
Abdominal pain may be due to sling but there should be some supportive evidence for this. X-ray does not show the sign of it so the possibility of abdominal pain due to bladder sling is not likely. Now the remaining cause of pain could be colic and it can be intestinal colic, biliary colic, renal colic.
Abdominal pain is challenging for clinician and it demands several investigation, most of the time it can be due to some functional elements and not due to any pathology.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
