What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bloating With Severe Constipation?

pain/ discomfort left side lower abdomen, near ovaries. I have already had appendix out about 7 yrs ago. I do have ovarian cysts on left side, been to dr last month said normal. no surgery needed. tender to touch, no fever, been bothering me since yesterday morning, hurts to sit or lay on stomach, almost feels like gas bubble caught behind ovary , did have bowel movement yesterday 3 times, bowel movement, not pebbles more like stones, last one was solid. after bowel movement got relief for a little bit, then came back about 1 hour later and worse, on pain scale I put it at 5. pressure in lower abdomen left side , slight bloating, to walk is un -comfortable, but feels better than laying down, sitting is the worse.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of abdominal pain and bloating with severe constipation . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like consuming foods known to cause gas in some people, such as milk products that contain lactose, broccoli, appendicitis, crohn’s disease, gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome or urinary tract infection. Sometimes excess acid production can also cause constipation. I would suggest you to avoid above mentioned foods , eat light and non spicy specially at night , take light walk after every meal , eat small and frequent meals , also eat lot of fibrous food .If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy along with stool test . Doctor may prescribe ornidazole , omeprazole , laxative , anti inflammatory along with antacids and laxative .
