What Causes Abdominal Pain And Brown Vaginal Discharge?

I m a 37 year old female. During my first day of ovulation I had pain and brown discharge with clots mainly when I wiped after urination. This lasted on and off for 2 weeks. No smell and very little on underwear. I m so afraid of cancers since google results show different cancers with spotting between periods. Besides cancers what else could cause this? I do have hpv but no cervical changes since 2015. I tried to test in 2016 but they said it wasn t needed. I m making an appointment for an ultrasound and Pap smear.

Hi, I think it can be due to some vaginal infection also. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist. You may need some antibiotic and antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal to treat infection. Also do a pap smear to rule out any cervical dysplasia. Ultrasound will also help in ruling put any uterine or ovarian problem. Hope it helps.
