What Causes Abdominal Pain And Nausea In A Woman Using Mirena IUD?

Hello . i been having lower abdominal pain on both sides. i have have the mirena iud for 1yr and 2 months now . its beem 3 months with little to no period no pain before on or after period. all of a sudden i start getting realky sore n tender breast, already going on for almost 1week with tender n sore breast. my nipples hurt so bad as well. im very nauseated too. i get lower right back pain comes n goes then upper back shoulder hurt as well. i really need to know if it s normal to feel this.

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gynecologist and plan for an ultrasound scan.
