What Causes Abdominal Pain During Pregnancy?

Hi Dr
I am 11 weeks pregnant and sometimes i get pin pricking like pain in my lower abdomen and both sides of lower abdomen as well. the pain is not harsh at all but it raises concerns for me as i already had 2 miscarriages in the past. Can u please advise if this is normal

It is understandable to be concerned.

The pain may be due to round ligament pain which is common in pregnancy.This is a sharp pain in the lower abdomen that can be felt during pregnancy.
It does not mean that there is any problem with the baby.

If you are still concerned, you can consider visiting your doctor for reassurance.
