What Causes Abdominal Pain On The Left Side When Suffering From Diverticulitis?

Had 3 bouts of diverticulitis in 2014 2nd &. 3rd 3 months apart, oral antibiotics don t work have to be admitted to hospital for triple IV , had 18 months break, came back in May 2016 now feels like I a getting my 5th, symptoms feel the same, in a lot of pain in left side, was diagnosed in my sigmoid colon, what should I do

Hi,

It is due to local infection and inflammation. You can take paracetamol for pain on SOS basis. Take soft easily digestible diet, take probiotics and keep yourself well hydrated.
