What Causes Abdominal Pain On The Left Side?

Like last month i had really bad pain in my stomach on the left side and the doctors said it was just a muscle spasm but its back. Its been back since yesterday. It hurts to eat or drink ANYTHING and everytime i drink water it just flows right out of me. Like i got bad diarrhea. I tried taking medicine. I could only eat a small bite of a braut grandma made last night and it hurt so bad it felt like i got shot. It hurts my back when i lay on my back and when i lay on my sides it hurts the left side. I havent eaten anything but a piece of pizza and it took me a while to eat that. I didnt even wanna eat a full donut but i know i had to eat something before i got sick. I didnt wanna bother mom with it last night cuz i didnt want her to take me in and i thought it would go away but its been constant. Ive been nauseous and took medicine seeing as i thought it could just be the flu or something. I have been VERY lightheaded lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Abdominal pain with food may be due to the stomach. This maybe due to a virus or a problem with the stomach itself like peptic ulcer or gastritis.
I would recommend you to take some omeprazole 1-2 tablets a day and make sure you do eat or drink frequent small amounts. If you have diarrhea please take fluids and also oral rehydration solutions as they help substitute the lost water and electrolytes (salts).

If no improvement in 3-4 days or any worsening please see your doctor.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj
