What Causes Abdominal Pain On The Right Side And Constipation?

I am having abdomen pain on right side. Feel constipated but still going to the bathromm. On April 4th I felt like this and had to go go er while on vacation. Had extensive diverticular disease in the sigmold and descending colon, but I was hurting on the right side, said early acute diverticulitis canoot be completely excluded. I was wondering it it would hurt to take some Mirlax to see if it would help. One day I feel fine and the next the pain is back. Seemed better when I took Pepto Bismol,

Hi,

It can be a flare up of diverticulitis.

As of now, you can fake analgesics like Acetaminophen or Tramadol for pain relief. You can also take laxatives like Lactulose also.

If symptoms persist, you can consult a general surgeon and get an ultrasound scan done.
