Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Abdominal Pain Radiating To Testicles?
I started a new exercise routine recently (am 30 year old white male in good condition) and a few days ago noticed some discomfort on the right side of my abdominals that seems to travel down to my testicle. The testicle itself feels normal to the touch, but the discomfort has lasted several days and occassional, usually when sitting down, flares up to actual pain.
welcome to Health care magic. 1.First thing to suspect is musculoskeletal pain due to physical strain - take pain killers and avoid physical stress. 2.The second can be inguinal hernia which will cause the peculiar symptoms which you are mentioning (abdominal pain radiating to testis). 3.Try avoiding any kinds of weight lifting - the most common cause of inguinal hernias. 4.If it resolves, in future try to use the precautionary abdominal belt. 5.If does not resolve then need to see your and get an ultrasound scan to find out if there is any abdominal wall defect (inguinal region). 6.If symptoms resolves fine, If not then get an appointment with your doctor and get the needful investigations done. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
