There are different possible causes for blood in the urine. The most common causes are: (1) infection of the urinary tract
(2)trauma (3)stones (4)bleeding disorder (5)mass or lesion in some aspect of the urinary tract (6)inflammatory kidney disease (7)side effect of medication particularly medications that affect clotting (8)idiopathic- cause unknown
She needs to see a doctor to be evaluated as soon as possible. This evaluation would include physical examination, urine analysis both in office and urine would be sent to the lab. Imaging of the urinary tract may also be suggested.
The treatment would depend on the cause found.
I hope this helps
