What Causes Abdominal Pain With Diarrhea?

Severe upset stomach but no puking, abdominal cramps, hunger but too sick to eat, bloating, weakness, unable to pass stool or gas, occasional diarrhea, anxiety. Been this way out of nowhere three days ago and persisted ever since. Please give me some idea as to what s wrong? Do you think it s serious or should I wait longer before going to the doctor? Thanks

Hello and thank you for this question!
A lot of people experience abdominal pain and diarrhea for short periods. Most common causes are :dietary changes, consuming too much alcohol and indigestion.Another cause is traveler’s diarrhea, which affects people who travel to foreign contries( Bacterial or viral infection caused by contaminated food or water is the usual cause). But,if your symptoms continue for too long, than you have to consider the fact that there are other seros conditions that cause them, such as:viral or bacterial gastroenteritis, lactose intolerance, parasitesbacterial infection (for example, shigellosis or e. coli),intestinal obstruxion, different medications cause diarrhea such as antibiotics,Crohn disease, cystic fibrosis.celiac disease, colitis, diverticulitis etc.I would advice you to drink plenty of clear liquids, such as water, juice, and broth. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. Eat small amounts of low-fiber, mild foods such as plain toast, rice, and eggs. Avoid spicy, high-fat, and high-fiber foods. You can also use probiotics because they help your digestive system heal.Of course,if you realise that this situation persists for more than three days and the simptoms are not getting better, consult imediately your doctor.
Best regrds!
