My 7 year old daughter has frequent tummy aches about an inch below her naval, as well as frequent bed-wetting. These have increased more in the past three months. By frequent, I mean at this point there have only been about 5 nights out of 3 months that she hasn t had a tummy ache at night. Sometimes it is bad enough to keep her awake, sometimes she doubles over crying, but more often than not it s just annoying to her. Her doctor keeps telling me to just give her miralax without ordering any other tests or considering any other possibilities, but wouldn t 5 years of constant constipation be cause for concern in and of itself? I don t feel it is constipation. Now, for the last week and a half she has had intermittent, mild to severe pain at the top of her left hip as well. Tonight, she has woken up with a climbing fever, nasty headache, aversion to light, hip pain, and nausea. Is all of this related? I just want to know what s going on with my daughter, and I don t trust her doctor.
