What Causes Abdominal Pain,gastritis And Bloating Of Stomach?

Hello, I just started having some pretty painful abdominal pains, first lower left, then in the middle, now up top, gas, bloating, pretty constant nagging pain since Easter Sunday brunch, always have had a cast iron stomach, but intermittent small bowel movements, couple of times a day, was put on Flagyl, made it worse, little fever 99.1, gone now, radiating intermittent back pain...What s up? I am going to make an appt. tomorrow with a gastro doc, was kicked by my horse in the abdomen 6 years ago, hernia? Help!

Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and will do the best i can to help you. The problem that you are facing can be caused by various reasons like Colitis, Gastroenteritis, Malabsorption syndrome, Lactose intolerance, Ischemic Colitis or several other things. You may require a complete physical examination, Complete blood count, Stool examination, USG abdomen, Endoscopy and few other tests to get to a diagnosis. I suggest you see a doctor early so that you can be properly investigated and a management plan be formulated for tou. Till then you can try to reduce fatty foods, fast foods and dring plenty of fluids and take diet with high fibre content. It would help you.
