General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Abnormal weight loss, loss of appetite could be due to chronic infections.ESR rise although non specific generally represents chronic infections.Infections such as Tuberculosis should be ruled out.Chest xray and mantoux test should be taken .Anemia, thyroid status,Liver and renal function tests may also be essential.High protein intake and adequate hydration is essential.Multivitamin tablets can be taken once a day after food. All autoimmune diseases should also be screened.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
