What Causes Abnormal Marks On Right Ankle Area And Rashes On Lower Back?

I recently vacationed in Williamsburg, VA and woke up with weird bites slightly above the right ankle area. 2 days later (last night) I develop a rash on my lower back area only. Are they related? Or maybe one is a bed bug bite? I can t explain the rash on the lower back. It s itchy and red dots all over my lower back.

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared if the rash persists get it reviewed by a dermatologist as it can be due to infective origin or sign of systemic infection like rickettsial infections etc which may present after bites and after the history of outdoor stay if any during vacations as you told. Blood work up and infectious diseases specialist review may also be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
