What Causes Abnormal Mestrual Discharge?

Hi. I havent had an actual period without medicine For about 7 mos and For The last week i started having a lot of discharge, and 2 days ago i started bleeding orangish blood, but real light and kind of spotty with a wierd old blood smell?? Any ideas of what could be wrong??
