Hello and welcome to HCM, For pregnancy to occur, conception should occur around ovulation. Ovulation takes place 14 days before onset of menstrual cycle. In irregular menstrual cycle it is difficult to time the ovulation. In case of irregular cycles, ovulation has to be timed by using basal body temperature and examination of cervical mucus. Once ovulation has been timed, conception can be tried during this period and it will result in pregnancy.
