General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bleeding is likely with oral contraception as it is one of the adverse effects. On the other hand, it is best to have a check with your doctor to rule out other causes of the bleeding.

The doctor will do a vaginal exam, pap-smear, and transvaginal ultrasound. If all these come out normal then the bleeding is due to oral contraception.

I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.

I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
