What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi I'm 33 And I Jus got Off My Period @ The begining of Jan Now I'm bleeding again. I was on the patch for about 3 days and someone said this could be the reason. Also took the emergency pill @ the end of Nov and have had reg periods since but is it possible that I could be pregnant or ectopically pregnant?
