What Causes Abscess On Jaw Bone?

Abscess on Jaw Bone? I developed an abscess...I think.. Its on my lower jaw bone right below the tooth That I need a root canal on.. I am not sure what to do since it is the holiday and no dentist are open?? I am on antibiotics and this thing seems to have developed while I have been taking them... What is it and what can i do?
