What Causes Absence Of Periods After Receiving Provera Injection?

I am 25 years old. Two and a half months ago I had a medical abortion at 6 weeks and 5 days, I also got contraception injection provera or something like that. I bled for about a week or two afterwards but since then I have not had one menstrual cycle. I am now due for another injection but now worried that this is the reason.

Provera consists high concentration of progesterone and this hormone has significant effect on natural hormonal balance and it may take even up to 6 months till periods stabilize so you should not be worried. Just be patient and periods will occur again and normalize.
