Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Absence Of Periods And Breast Tenderness After Removal Of Ovary?
So I m 47 yrs old history of left ovarian cyst which I ended up having my ovary removed they left me a little ovarian tissue on the right.Havent had my period in about 3 months seems like I have breast tenderness all the time ,creamy feeling like I m going to get my period and a lot of back pain .I do also have a cyst on my right ovary.
I think the right ovary or the tissue that remained from it is not working since you are not having a period. I can recommend you to take contraception pills in order to have cycles and not to be in menopause that early. Going in menopause that early May give you other problems like bone loss, osteoporosis, changes in skin and mucosal lining making them thin and fragile.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
