General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Kavitha. Good day. Thanks for writing to HCM. I am Dr Sarika and I will be answering your query today.
Irregular menstrual cycles occur due to a variety of reasons the most common being an imbalance or dysregulation of the normal hormones related to menstruation. Apart from that there are certain uterine causes also. Thyroid disease and polycystic ovary are other causes. You need to see a gyanecologist who will do a examination and an ultra sound scan for you. She/He may also think of doing your thyroid function. You will have to treat the cause and there is not one pill for all which can correct your problem. Once the cycles are well regulated you will not have any other hurdle in conceiving.
Wishing you good health.
Warm regards.
