What Causes Absence Of Periods?

My question is to a gynech.i am 24 and married.i didnt get my periods for last two months and i was worried whether i am pregnent.but i took the test at home and it is negative.i have pcod issue too.so please do kindly suggest what i should do.thankyou

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease. Since you have your urine pregnancy test negative then the pregnancy is ruled out. You have polycystic ovarian disease and it is known to be associated with irregular menstrual period. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist and get progesterone hormone to induce withdrawal bleeding.
